PhotoHunt theme for the week beginning 23rd March 2013 is 'Flow'
When you think of the word flow water tends to come to mind first
The Huka Falls is New Zealand's most visited natural attraction. The thundering Huka Falls provides a fantastic photo opportunity - more than 220,000 litres of water flows over the cliff face per second! Located in Wairakei Tourist Park, just a short drive north of Taupo, there is an Information Centre located by the falls and several viewing platforms provide excellent vantage points.
Then there is the flow of artistic endeavour. Flowing together meeting in a kiss
The workers hope the water flows again after they have been flushing the pipes. Success, the water is flowing
About the PhotoHunt
The Saturday PhotoHunt is a photography blog “meme” that was started in March 2006
To play, you simply post a photo on your own blog that represents the theme. These are snapshots that you might have taken on a trip, with your family, or in your home. It is important to use only your own photos.
We are not professional photographers . . . although some are. We are bloggers who are having fun with different themes and sharing our photography. You can see more PhotoHunt entries at Whistlestop PhotoHunt and on Facebook
I taught myself to knit when I was 19 which was many many many...... years ago. I recently knitted some baby clothes for an online friend as a present for her expected baby. My local town also was yarn bombed as part of an Arts Festival and I loved how structures were covered in knitting.
A soft yellow baby blanket with a lovely lacy pattern which was not hard to follow or knit.
I love to knit baby booties, so simple and quick to produce a finished set, yet I cannot knit socks. Go figure!
White baby jacket
The tree and bike rack in front of the local library were yarn bombed and I am seriously impressed with the knitted effect.
The local rotunda also received being yarn bombed with colourful knitted decorations.
And as an aside today (26th January) is Australia Day Celebrated annually on 26 January, the date commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove, New South Wales in 1788 when Australia was first colonised

Two completely different photos are my selection for this weeks theme that promise new beginnings.
Powerful words and promises on the plaque at the entrance to the local council office.
Left-hand side of the plaque says: Sincere expression of sorrow and apology to the Ngarrindjeri People. To the Ngarrindjeri people, the Traditional owners of the land and waters within the region, the Alexandrina Council expresses sorrow and sincere regret for the suffering and injustice that you have experienced since colonisation and we share with you our feelings of shame and sorrow at the mistreatment your people have suffered. We respect your autonomy and uniqueness of your culture. We offer our support and commitment to your determination to empower your communities in the struggle for justice, freedom and protection of your Heritage, Culture and interests within the Council area and acknowledge your right to determine your future We commit to work with you. We acknowledge your wisdom and we commit to ensuring our actions and expressions best assist your work. We accept your frustrations at our past ways of misunderstanding you. We are shamed to acknowledge that there is still racism within our communities. We accept that our words must match our actions and we pledge to you that we will work to remove racism and ignorance. We will recognise your leadership, we honour your visions, and we hope for a future of working together with respect for each other. We look forward to achieving reconciliation with justice. We ask to walk beside you, and to stand with you to remedy the legacy of 166 years of European occupation of your land and waters and control of your lives. The work of the Alexandrina Council will be guided by your vision of a future where reconciliation through agreement making may be possible and we may walk together. The Alexandrina Council acknowledges the Ngarrindjeri People's ongoing connection to the land and waters within its area and further acknowledges the Ngarrindjeri people's continuing culture and interests therein.
