PhotoHunt theme for the week beginning 12th January 2013 is ‘Celebrate’

There is much to celebrate in my life and the world around me. Hard to decide which element to show with this weeks photohunt. So I have gone with a mixed bag.

Ceri celebrating
One of my dogs Ceri having a celebration for the New Year
(No dogs were harmed in the celebrations)
The boys in the kitchen
Adam (the taller one) is teaching Jordan (his nephew) the fine art of pizza dough making.
As a mother I can celebrate that my ‘boys’ (son and grand-son) know how to cook and be self-sufficent.
Banner Banner Green banner
My local library celebrated 20 years of operation with a large range of fun activities.
In love
And then I celebrated my engagement to David after my late husband Ray (seen in the photo on the wall) had passed away several years before. I never expected to be celebrating this event again.

About the PhotoHunt

The Saturday PhotoHunt is a photography blog “meme” that was started in March 2006

To play, you simply post a photo on your own blog that represents the theme. These are snapshots that you might have taken on a trip, with your family, or in your home. It is important to use only your own photos.

We are not professional photographers . . . although some are. We are bloggers who are having fun with different themes and sharing our photography. You can see more PhotoHunt entries at Whistlestop PhotoHunt and on Facebook

Take 12 photos on the 12th of the month showing your day.

This is my day on 12th December 2012.

It is a Wednesday and the temperature was only supposed to be 33C but got to a blistering 42C!

Normally I wouldn’t leave home on such a hot day but I had a hairdressers appointment in town. I went to the Goolwa museum for my volunteer job, afterwards I had a hair cut, the electrician finished the undergrounding of my electricity cabling to the house and birds and vegetables are growing

PhotoHunt theme for the week beginning 1st December 2012 is ‘Stellar’

I went with one of the dictionary definitions of Stellar for this week’s hunt.

Stellar — adj – relating to star entertainers

Lakita & Normie Rowe

Normie Rowe with Lakita (my grand-daughter) at the Normie Rowe concert in Goolwa South Australia on 21st April 2007. Normie Rowe was an Australian pop star 40 years ago and is still doing concerts around Australia.

Lakita, who was a St John Cadet, was helping to serve the supper when Normie Rowe came back stage to thank the helpers.
