Hindmarsh Island, South Australia Island magic

PhotoHunt theme for the week beginning 6th October 2012 is ‘Hand’

I found this weeks topic a challenge, how to make a hand interesting in a picture. Hmmm.

Donut game

Even though the party game was hands-free I got a stray hand in the picture (and chopped off people’s heads), I have no idea whose hand it is.

Cleaning

Rubber cleaning gloves make my hand creepy.

Hand Fatimah geocoin

I am a geocacher and pickup and re-distribute geocoins. This one is in the shape of the Hand of Fatima. I love the scroll work on the geocoin.

Lunch

And lastly to finish my theme on hands I am sure that many of us have pictures of our teenage children using their hand with the one fingered salute. The amount of photos I have of my family that have this mannerism in it makes me wonder if it is a family trait.

About the PhotoHunt

The Saturday PhotoHunt is a photography blog “meme” that was started in March 2006

To play, you simply post a photo on your own blog that represents the theme. These are snapshots that you might have taken on a trip, with your family, or in your home. It is important to use only your own photos.

We are not professional photographers . . . although some are. We are bloggers who are having fun with different themes and sharing our photography. You can see more PhotoHunt entries at Whistlestop PhotoHunt and on Facebook

  10. YTSL   A fun take on this week's theme. Hmmm re that "one fingered salute"... Remember that in England, they were more likely to go for a "V" sign. Wonder if they still do... ;D

  12. GoogleUser   A wide variety of hands, live and inanimate. I never like the smell of hands after they come out of those yellow gloves! My hand is figurative in our photo.
