Lighthouse rear

Lighthouses are extremely sturdy structures.

They withstand the full might of the ocean and have to be there for many hundreds of years saving lives.

About the PhotoHunt

The Saturday PhotoHunt is a photography blog “meme” that was started in March 2006

To play, you simply post a photo on your own blog that represents the theme. These are snapshots that you might have taken on a trip, with your family, or in your home. It is important to use only your own photos.

We are not professional photographers . . . although some are. We are bloggers who are having fun with different themes and sharing our photography.

  1. What a neat lighthouse, I’ve never seen one like that before. Most of the ones I’ve seen have been that classic shape/style!

  2. poor light house keeper, not even a seagull to keep him company. Is this a computer automates one? In NZ, a favourite book is the lighthouse keeper.

Thanks for visiting, your light house is so high, you don’t have to lay down to take the photo. LOL

    1. It is an automated lighthouse. I not only didn’t need to lay down to get the persepctive but had to go down the hill a fair bit to get it all in.

  3. wow. a most unique lighthouse! quite unlike most lighthouses i’ve seen, the style’s a bit modern. but still looks very functional and, yeah, life-saving =] thanks for visiting my blog earlier!
