PhotoHunt theme for the week beginning 27th October 2012 is ‘Spooky’

Misty morning

It was at day-break and there was thick sea mist everywhere and I was standing out on the jetty waiting for the sunrise and heard a boat launched from the boat ramp up the channel and heard it coming along the channel and when I felt it was about the next jetty I snapped a photo. The camera flash went off and the person got a shock because he couldn’t see me on the jetty in the mist. It was very spooky.

PhotoHunt theme for the week beginning 20th October 2012 is ‘Sassy’

Feeling sassy? I am drinking Sassy water.

Sassy water

Ingredients:

  • 2 litres water
  • 12 Mint leaves
  • 1 Cucumber (peeled, I used a Lebanese one that doesn’t need peeling), sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon grated Ginger
  • 1 Lemon, sliced thin

Method: This is a water that is mixed with several ingredients.

Fill up a container with 2 litres of water. Take the mint leave stems and break off 12 mint leaves and place inside the water. Wash the lemon and then slice it very thin and add to the water. Take your cucumber and peel with a peeler or knife. Afterwards slice it really thin. Next the ginger root and grate it on the fine section of your grater. Add to the water. Put the water in the refrigerator and let it get cold. Overnight is recommended.

Take 12 photos on the 12th of the month showing your day. Grey morning that turned into a sunny day. Today was a Friday, went into the nearest town of Goolwa to do the weekly shopping. Saw the mains street had been yarn bombed and it was a colourful display, coupled with the electricity pole painting that has also been going on.
